Come as you are. We will work through it together.
Anxiety shows up differently for each person. You might notice your heart racing during everyday conversations, feel overwhelming worry about things that used to feel manageable, or find yourself avoiding situations that once brought you joy. Sometimes anxiety feels like a constant hum of tension in your body, while other times it arrives in intense waves that leave you feeling exhausted and uncertain.
Not all anxiety is harmful. Anxiety can keep us safe and even motivate us. But when it becomes overwhelming and starts to impact how you function day to day, it may be time to consider adding additional support. Medication management for anxiety is not about finding a one-size-fits-all solution. It is about working collaboratively to understand how your body responds to different treatments and adjusting our approach based on your real experiences.
We also specialize in de-prescribing when medications are not serving you well, helping you safely transition off treatments that cause unwanted side effects or simply are not the right fit anymore. As you progress in therapy and build coping strategies, you may find that you no longer need as high a dose, or in some cases, may not need medication at all.
Mental health is not linear, and neither is your path to feeling better. Some days will be harder than others. We are with you through all of it.
Whether you are exploring medication for the first time or want to optimize your current treatment, we start with a thorough evaluation of your symptoms, history, and preferences before making any recommendations.
Your first visit focuses entirely on understanding your anxiety: how it shows up, what triggers it, how it affects your daily life, and what you hope treatment will help you achieve.
If medication is appropriate, we start carefully and conservatively. Most people notice some improvement within 2 to 4 weeks, with full benefits developing over 6 to 8 weeks. We monitor your response closely throughout.
Follow-up appointments are scheduled to check in on how you are feeling, address any side effects, and make adjustments as needed. You will always know what you are taking, why, and what to do if something does not feel right.
